Storyline

When a fleet of Sarucian ships is spotted on a lava planet, the crew must apply their knowledge of place values to get to the bottom of it before things heat up too much.

Sarucians have been spotted on Areva, the lava planet. The crew will need to first determine how many Sarucian ships are present on Areva and what they should do about that. Even though things heat up with Chizisal, the crew will need to use their knowledge of place values to help the Sarucians get back on their feet.

The crew conducts investigations using the sensors map to determine the number of Sarucians aboard the ships and verify their intentions.

Constructing Explanations and Designing Solutions

The crew devises possible solutions to deal with the drifting Sarucian ships, restore their power using geothermal energy, and confront the Sarucian leader about their intentions.
